Valuable lessons, unsuitable tools

Hours of recorded lessons, but nothing useful when revision time comes. General-purpose models return raw text with no outline or markers.

Worse, when the teacher mixes Arabic with another language—as students outside Arabic-speaking countries hear every day—the Arabic is omitted, distorted or replaced by unreadable phonetics.

Years of work with students

The solution took shape over several years alongside students in French-speaking institutes. Every transcript, correction and comment refined the method: preserve the Arabic, structure the lesson and cite the sources.

We tested the leading transcription and AI providers on real lessons and kept only what worked. Each attempt showed us where general tools break and what a student actually needs.

Everything we tried to get the experience right

Improving the experience meant removing one obstacle after another. Over the years, that work became a long list of capabilities:

• One recording can mix Arabic, French and English, and each language is written where it is spoken.
• Audio, video, YouTube links and raw notes all work as starting points, up to 300 minutes or 100,000 words.
• Quran verses are detected, referenced and submitted for human review.
• Honorific formulas and transliteration are added for Allah ﷻ, the prophets, the Companions and scholars.
• Lessons are organised into sections, polished with Standard or Premium wording, and translated without losing the Arabic.
• A web editor lets you correct your text beside the original recording, on the web and in a mobile app.
• Every passage stays linked to the moment it was said, so references can be checked.
• Lessons export to PDF and Word in several presentation styles.

An investment made to last

None of this came free. Research and development required investing more than €25,000 to reach this level of quality.

That investment built a robust, permanent and user-friendly experience, open to everyone.
